If the nut of a product needs to be installed on the outside, and the space inside is small, the indenter of the sub-riveting machine cannot be allowed to enter for pressure riveting and methods such as sprouting cannot meet the strength requirements, then pressure riveting and expansion riveting are not feasible.

1. Pressure riveting nut column

Squeezing riveting means that under external pressure during the riveting process, the riveting piece plastically deforms the matrix material, and squeezes it into the special prefabricated groove in the riveting screw and nut structure, and then completes the firm connection of the two parts. There are two kinds of non-standard nuts for pressure riveting, one is the pressure riveting nut column and the other is the pressure riveting nut. This riveting method is used to complete the connection with the substrate. This riveting method generally requires the hardness of the riveted parts to be greater than the hardness of the substrate.

Generally, low-carbon steel, aluminum alloy plates, and copper plates are suitable for crimping pressure riveting nut posts. For stainless steel and high-carbon steel plates because the raw materials are hard, special high-strength pressure riveting nut posts are required, which is not only expensive, but also compressive It is difficult to connect, the crimping is not reliable, and it simply falls off after crimping. In order to ensure the reliability, the manufacturer often needs to add welding on the side of the nut post. The manufacturability is not good. Therefore, there are pressure riveting nut posts and sheet metal of pressure riveting nuts. As far as possible, do not use stainless steel for parts. Including pressure riveting screws and pressure riveting nuts are also the same, and it is not suitable for use on stainless steel plates.

2. Pressure riveting nut

Compression riveting nut is also called riveting nut, self-fastening nut, is a kind of nut applied to thin plate or sheet metal, the shape is round, one end has embossed teeth and guide groove. The principle is to press the embossing teeth into the preset holes of the sheet metal. Generally speaking, the aperture of the preset holes is slightly smaller than the embossing teeth of the pressure riveting nut. The periphery of the hole is plastically deformed, and the deformed object is squeezed into the guide groove, and then the locking effect is produced.

3. Riveting nut

Swelling riveting means that part of the material of the riveted screw or nut is plastically deformed under the effect of external force during the riveting process.

The materials form a close cooperation, and then complete the method of firm connection of the two parts. The commonly used ZRS etc. are used to complete the connection with the substrate using this riveting type. The riveting process is relatively simple and the joint strength is low. It is generally used when the height of the fastener is restricted and the torque is not large.

4. Blind rivet nuts

Pull riveting refers to the plastic deformation of the riveting part under the effect of external tension during the riveting process. The deformed position is generally in a specially designed position, and the deformed part clamps the base material to complete a firm connection. Commonly used blind rivet nuts use this type of riveting to complete the connection with the base material. Pull riveting uses a special riveting gun for riveting, which is mostly used in situations where the installation space is small and general riveting tools cannot be used, such as closed pipes.
